Job Description:

Excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to join a cable manufacturing company located in Anaheim, CA. As a Quality Technician. This position is responsible to handle the day to day engineering duties within the Quality Department. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for providing solutions for all technical problems which arise during the test, inspection, and packing of product, as well to enforce of all Quality Initiatives, Specifications, and supporting audit activities.


Experience and Skills:



Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:

  • Resolve all Customer Related Corrective Action Requests (CAR)

  • Interface with customers on specific quality-related issues (Rejects & Quality Specification Issues)

  • Inspect and Disposition all Return Material Authorizations (RMA) in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Review and Approve/Reject all QC Engineering Change Orders (ECO)

  • Coordinate / participate to develop Root Cause Analysis and determination of CAPA using structure methods and tools.

  • Perform internal Failure Analysis (FA) due to internal product failures, when required.

  • Conduct Internal Audits on products, processes or the Quality Management System to verify compliance.

  • Support the creation of Test Fixtures to verify Functionality of products.

  • Other duties as assigned

    Expertise / Skills:

  • A minimum of 1 year of working in a Electronic/Electrical manufactured environment preferably with some quality control training and responsibility, however similar experience will be considered Possesses verbal and written communication skills

  • Has the ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents such as blue prints, bills of material and production routings

  • Demonstrates proficiency using micrometers, calipers, or visual measuring equipment such as optical comparators, microscopes or Micro-Vu optical measuring equipment.

  • Possesses strong problem solving skills, and is able to assemble a team and initiate abnormal condition, containment, and activities quickly when issues arise

  • Assist on test fixtures design and provide guideline to verify products, or define alternative methods of testing, meeting customer’s specifications.

  • Understand customer’s testing methods required, defining and performing projects to implement them, including equipment definition and purchasing, its initial verification, documentation and training of testing methods - instructions creation, visual aids, and guidelines - and the quality records implementation.

  • Support Electrical Verification process with revision / creation of Electrical Signature for testing, when required.

  • Provide training on IPC/WHMA-A-620A, J-STD-001 and other related topics to the personnel.

  • Assist in standardizing and documenting best practice procedures in the quality department and enforce following standard procedures

  • Experience RMA and ECO processes.

  • Familiar with Internal Audit and Compliance Guidelines



  • Experience is Electrical/Electronic Assembly or Production

  • Experience in reading Drawings, Blue Prints, Schematics and work orders

  • Know the electrical units of measurements (relation between them)

  • Be familiar with standard electrical/electronic symbols (relation between them)

  • Understand and Apply ISO9001, AS9100, ISO13485, and ISO/TS16949 standards

  • Understand and Apply IPC/WHMA-A-620A and J-STD-001

  • IPC-A-620 and/or J-STD-001 Certified

  • Use of PC & Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Visio a plus.

  • Effective in working both independently and in team settings.

  • Flexible and adaptable to company’s changes and needs.

  • Achieve activities / responsibilities in time, with the highest quality and efficiency.

  • Able to interact with other people from other departments.

  • Self-motivated and capable of monitoring and planning workload.

  • Organized and able to plan time effectively.

  • Thorough understanding of how to perform Root Cause Analysis and CAPA

  • Experience managing personnel or coordinating project teams (a plus).


    Education / Experience:

  • Minimum of Associate in Applied Science (Electronic or Electrical) of Equivalent Degree

  • Minimum of 1 Year of Electrical/Electronic industrial Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment operating within the scope of a recognized quality system such as ISO 9001 or similar.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish
